Christmas @ The McLachlans

So we finally made it out to Gma and Gpa Macs house. And this picture pretty much says it all about how excited everyone was to see Mae. Auntie Mary (with the ponytail), Auntie Brook, Gpa Mac and Sean just playing with Mae.
Man she has the best smile ever. Her Christmas outfit really does not reflect her personality at all. But it was so cute I had to put her in it.
Mae is just chillin out practicing her model pose. Apparently she thinks her outfit is fabulous also.
After the long day Mae was so tuckered out that she just passed out on her Uncle Geoffs lap. And in the cutest way too.
By the end of the night Mae wanted nothing to do with anyone else. She had a good 5 days of Holiday parties so she just snuggled up on Dad and then she has slept for the past 2 days almost straight through. So needless to say we have been hanging low and gearing up for New Years Eve.

Christmas Morning @ Our House

Christmas morning was so much fun with Mae and she even played along a little bit. When we sat down to open her stocking and I said "look Mae you got socks" She totally smiled. And if you don't believe me I have proof on the video camera.
So this is Sean and Mae opening her present. All she got from us was clothes, because she has everything she needs.
Mae is just sitting on dads present. He has no idea what it is.
And as you can see he was stoked. I got him a new dock for his ipod.
And he did good also getting me clothes. A new hoodie with warm fuzz on the inside so its super warm and a new running fleece.
Mae in her winter pjs.
So after we did gifts we got ready to head out to Gma and Gpa Macs house for breakfast and gifts with all Maes Aunties ans Uncles.

Christmas Eve

So every Christmas ever we head out to Nonnie and Papas house to open presents and have dinner and just hang out. So here are some pics from the night.
Mae is holding her first piggy bank a gift from Nonnie and Papa. It has her name and birth info on it. Its really cute.
Sitting on Dads lap during the gift exchange.
This is Papas first time holding Mae. Look how content she is. And that's Auntie Betty in the back ground.
Papa and Mae.
It was a good night and the weather was good so we were able to make it home ok.

Visiting Family

A couple of weekends ago Sean and I made the trek across the state to Seattle to visit Gpa Macs side of the family. It was so much fun to see them because it doesn't happen very often. But we wanted all of them to get to meet Mae.
So here are Penny and Meg (gpa macs sisters) holding Mae for the first time.
Stephanie snuggling up with baby.
This is Riley and Cameron who both loved Mae so much. And she had a great time with her boy cousins.
Here she is with Tess and Anna.
And now hanging out with Kristy.

Maes First Bottle

Well its been awhile since Ive blogged, but life has been crazy. These pictures are from over a week ago. But I love them Sean feeding Mae her first bottle. She loved it, didn't even hesitate for a second we he gave it to her. Which I'm so happy about because shes gonna need to take one well when I go back to work.
I think she was kinda confused but didn't really care because food was coming out of the weird new thing.
Just to cute for words.

Decorating The Tree

Decorating the tree was a blast this year even though Mae couldn't really help we pretend that she could. We put on some Christmas tunes had a yummy warm drink and we were good to go. Sean got the star up and avoided drawing blood.
Hanging an ornament with Mae
Now hanging one with mom (who is looking good I might add)
Pretending to have Mae hang an ornament, don't worry she did not touch the tree we did not want bloodshed.
All lit up so pretty.
And for those who think I'm kidding about the tree needles being sharp come touch the tree it will hurt bad and then we will give you a band aid.

Greenbluff

.Let the traditions begin. On Saturday Sean, Mae and I went up to Greenbluff with Gpa Mac, Gma Mac and Auntie Mary so we could all get our Christmas trees. Its was alot of fun walking around the grounds looking for the best tree. We found one that we thought looked great it was a great height and nice and even and full. But then Sean cut the sucker down and discovered that our tree had needles of death. Holy smokes our tree is so dangerous if you come over to our house DON'T touch the tree you may bleed.
So Greenbluff is the place to go and see Santa here's why; You don't have to wait in line, There are no big crowds, and you don't have to pay to get your pictures taken because you can take them with your own camera. It was awesome. Mae is obviously not afraid of the big man that will come next year.
So since we could use our own camera we also took a family picture.
So we got out tree home and luckily had some help getting it into the house. Sean and Gpa Mac had to put on some heavy duty gloves to carry it into the house, but they got it in. Can you see Sean crouched behind the tree.
So the trip to Greenbluff has officially become one of our family traditions. And next year we will not be getting a Spruce Tree they are dangerous.

Maes First Photo Shoot

Misty just finished Maes pictures from her first photo shoot. They were taken when Mae was 3 days old. She did so amazing throughout most of the shoot, but her being just 3 days old she began to get a little fussy. So I thought hey lets turn on the blow dryer maybe that will calm her. Its something I joked about with my clients throughout the pregnancy, that I could calm her with a blow dryer. Let me tell you what it worked as soon as we turned it on she was instantly calm. Misty took a picture of it at work so I could have some proof, so I had to put it on the post, its the last picture. I just can't believe that Mae is a month and 5 days already. I feel like we just did this shoot yesterday. These pictures are just some of my favorites I couldn't really post them all. I hope you all enjoy them.

Winter Coat

OK so before Mae was born I had to get her a warm coat. So I went to REI and got the smallest one they had. Its a 3 month fleece obviously REI sizes run really big especially because Mae is good and long.
So then we went to Old Navy this week and got her one thats still a little big but she actually fits into it. Much better if I do say so myself.

This Ones For You Quinn

Her you go Quinn were sorry you couldn't be here to see Mae also but soon. She can't wait to meet you.
Just staring at each other.
Apparently Mae decided that she was done being held because she started making this face.

Nicks Birthday

On Tuesday we celebrated Nicks birthday. It was fun we went to Shogun, which is an Asian restaurant where they make the food for you at the table and have funny drink names like Geisha, Buddha, and Samurai. It was a fun interactive experience. And because it was his Birthday they had Nick wear a ridiculous hat and sang him happy birthday. But come on how cute are Niles and Nick.
It was awesome because they had little kids hats so they could be twiners in the picture.
Niles wondering "what the heck"
After dinner we went to their house for some cake. So we had Niles hold Mae. We were kinda afraid that he was going to eat her, but he really liked her, look at the huge smile he had.
Oh then he wanted to make out with her so we let him have a little kiss. I don't think Mae knows what to think about kisses from boys yet (which is a good thing).
Happy birthday Nick sorry about the pics but you and Niles are just to cute together.
