Jack Johnson...Maes First Concert

Its official Mae has been to her first concert. It was a nice and mellow one at the Gorge. We took her to Jack Johnson last Friday. We were supposed to go with Rick and Grace but G got sick and they had to cancel. They were kind enough to let us find someone to go in their place. So the phone calls began. Misty and Dave (my sis and her hubby) were the lucky winners. The only condition was that Mist had to drive. Which she would have anyways seeing as she gets car sick if she doesn't.
We had just gotten to our seats in this picture. When we spotted someone with a Jack Onsie. We then had to go and get one for Mae and Clara, because you need a concert t from your first concert (Mae is wearing hers in the photo shoot blog). The line was long to get the shirts but they will be cherished, at least by Misty and I.
Mae was just checking out the sites here. I think that she was a little confused, but loving all the people. This girl, man she loves to socialize.
Misty, Dave and Clara who did so good. Oh and so did Dave.
Jack had just begun at this point. It was a fun show but a long night. And Ill do it again one day when he goes back to the Gorge. Here's to Mae and her first concert. Dang she is so cute in this picture.
She was sacked out it was so cute.

New Shoes

I spent the last week getting Mae her fall and winter gear. Old Navy
was where I got most of it, except her shoes or boots. They were hard
to find because her feet are still so small. She can still wear a size
2. So after I went to Old Navy and didn't find any boots I searched
the Internet and found a pair a the Gap. I then headed there a few
days later and walla you can now see the result. I think they pretty
much ROCK!

First Editorial Photo Shoot

Today for work we are doing a editorial photo shoot and Mae got to come for the second half. Well we are still here but Mae is doing so well. She has been watching the models very closely, and is being nice and quiet ( well for the most part). I hope that I'm not creating a huge fashionista but I'm ok with a little one. My model is rocking it out right now I love it.

I write this blog a week ago but my phone was being weird and wouldn't post it. But I figured it out and I'm sharing it with you now. Also any post posted by "Rach" is from my phone so please ignore any mispelled words.

Food

Mae was loving the Ravioli tonight at Gma and Gpa Macs house. Yum Yum you can see how messy she was. Gma hooked her up with a bath after Dinner.

Two Steps!!!!

Mae walked yesterday!
Misty was over here at the house picking up her Jack Johnson concert tee and Onsie (for Clara) from the night before. She went into Maes room and put her in the tutu that she made for her. They both came back out and Misty and I were talking while Mae was doing her usual trying to get you to walk with her thing when Mist let go and she took 2 steps before she fell. She did it once more after only taking 1 step. We tried a bunch more times, but I think that she was a little freaked out by the whole thing. So you better believe that we will try again today! We tried to get video but it didn't work. I should be able to get a picture up soon though so you can at least see how cute she is with her tutu on.

My Little Vampire Speaks

Some major things have happened this week. Mae got her second teeth and instead of getting her front teeth she got her side 2 instead. Hence the name little vampire. It is really so cute and very normal to not get your front teeth second. In fact Madi also got her little fangs at the same time Mae did, and hers were also before her front 2.
Mae has said 3 words this week. Its so amazing. The first one was "that" she will point at things and say "that" so we will tell her what it is. Its so cute how curious she is. The second word was "bye" or "b" (just imagine the sound of a b). On Tuesday Mae and I were leaving Nicoles and I said "say bye Mae Mae" she then waved and said "b". Nicole and I just looked at each other and said "what did she just say that". So crazy. The third and final word is "Dada", which she has been saying for awhile now but not at Sean. So this morning she had just woken up so I brought her out to the living room and she looked at Sean and said "Dada". It was amazing, and she has done it more this morning and all of them have been directed at Sean. So now we must work on Mae saying "Mama".

Johnson Family Campout

Another camping trip. Have you noticed that they have all been at the lake. In our opinion if your going to be at a campground you better be on water. Unless you backpacking then you can be in the wilderness. The Johnson Family Reunion was at a little lake called Lake Wapato which is next to Lake Chelan. I was fun especially because my Uncle had just got a boat and my Dads cousin brought his boat for us to borrow. The weather was once again amazing so it was great to be on the water. And after a few snags like broken boats we got to do some wakeboarding.
Here are pretty much the only pictures I took all weekend and they were all of when Sean, Michael, Dad, Dave, Mae and I went out and the engine started smoking. So dad killed the engine and Sean, and Michael pushed us. Dad with very little help from Dave paddled us in. Mae and I just looked cute and took pictures.
Sean and Michael worked really hard back there, especially when Dave was splashing then with his Ore.
I think we were almost back at this point.
We made it back safe and sound. Just in time for some Boccie Ball, Reading (the Twilight Series final book), Visiting with relatives, and actually roasting hot dogs on the fire. I must say I prefer them on the BBQ.
This was our third and final camping trip. It was a ton of fun, but I'll tell you what we were so happy to be home and its taken me this long to get everything put away and the house back in order.

McNards At Priest 2008

The McNard camping trip has been happening for at least the 20 years give or take, and I have been lucky enough to go the last 8. When I say lucky I really mean it not just cause the people are cool but the scenery is absolutely amazing. This year the weather was perfect and the shirts were awesome (yes we have camp shirts). We did a few things different this year that helped make it more enjoyable for everyone. One of the biggest things was that we all took care of one meal, cooking and cleanup. So the rest of the time we could just relax a bit more. Another thing that didn't happen this year but was decided on for years to come is the t-shirt design contest. Every New Years we will be submitting and voting on that years camp shirt design. But this year Bens girlfriend Megan drew them up for us.
Here's a few pics of us all in our shirts. Mae, Quinner, and Momma Rach.
Yup we even had one made for Mae so cute. If you double click on this picture you can see the design of 2008. We had to get a family picture of Maes first year.
Yikes here's Mae and I standing in front of the roots of a tree. On our way to the talent show that Ben, Katie, and Caden won!
Mae loved to float with whoever would float with her. She spent alot of time with Gma Mac on the floaty but I didn't get a picture of it.
Also the morning of this day a Moose ran right through our camp like 25 feet away from me it was so crazy. I'm pretty sure he went through the camp every day we were there, but I only saw him once. Mary and Quinn got pics that they will hopefully post.
Taking a break from the sun (yes I do get in the shade sometimes).
We also went on this awesome hike that I didn't take any pictures of, but Mae was a trouper the whole time up for anything.

Big Girl

Mae looks like such a big girl sitting here in Madi's Dora chair. It freaks me out how old she looks sometimes.

Poor Poor Mae

I hope that you are all going back a month with me since I have some major catch up to do.
This was one of those moments when your baby is so mad but you have to got the camera out to take a picture and your laughing the whole time. Poor Mae crawled all the way out of the bedroom stuck in Seans gym bag.
She was pretty pissed that it was taking me so long to get her untangled. Poor poor Mae.

Say What?

Oh my gosh I'm actually posting a blog. No pics cause that required an extra step. But I'm going to fill you in a little bit on why I have not blogged in forever.
I left off after our trip to Seattle. We then headed off to the McNard Family Camp Out at Priest Lake.
We had a week or so of lots of dinners and parties with friends.
Then we had our 3 year anniversary. Which I can't believe happened already.
Mae had her 9 month Well Baby appt.
After that another camping trip with the Johnson Clan at Wapato Lake (right next to Chelan)
And finally this past weekend Sean worked the USATF Masters Tournament at SFCC. Which was amazing to watch. Competitors ages ranged from 30 to at least 95. Don't be surprised if Sean and I do it one day. It was very inspirational.
Finally today we actually get to spend some time at home. So its filled with cleaning, laundry, and yard work.
