Decoration Time

We finally got the tree in the house and ready to decorate, Mae had so much fun with the lights. She wouldn't smile for a picture so I told her to smile for her Gagas, then I got a huge grin out of her.
She just had a little push-up break.
Candy Cane!!!!!
Mae wanted to put this "dancing shoe" on really bad.
But I convinced her to hang it on the tree instead. Now it feels like Christmas with the tree up and the house decorated. Now I just have to finish the shopping :P

Santa

After we get our tree we always head over to the Harvest House and visit Santa. We had been prepping Mae a lot to meet the big guy. Finally she decided he wouldn't be so bad because he was going to give her a candy cane. When we got there we let her watch a few kids visit Santa and let her warm up to the idea of talking to him. You can tell she was a little bit scared, she wouldn't let go of Seans fingers.
I finally got her in my arms, and as you can see I had to sit on his lap for her (luckily I did not break his leg). She lasted about long enough to get her candy cane and then was done. Sean and I talked to him for a little bit longer and she was totally fine as long as neither of was on his lap.
On our way out of the store we ran into Mistys family, so we turned around and headed back in to watch them see Santa. Clara had a hard time with meeting the big guy. It was pretty funny because she would stop crying then turn and look at him and break into tears again. After Misty got all the pics of her family we had Mae get into one, it was great because Maes outfit matched yet was opposite of Mistys kids outfits. As you can see Mae wanted nothing to do with Santa this time around. She was very worried about Clara being so sad, even as we were leaving she said "I cried with Clara". As much as it was sad, it was also hilarious, this picture speaks for itself. I laugh every time I look at it.

We Found Our Tree

On Saturday we made our annual trek up to Greenbluff to get our Christmas tree. We always go to Huckabees and cut down our own. Mae had a blast this year and wanted us to get a "little" tree. We trumped her this year and pick a bigger one, still not to big since we done have tons of space. We always make sure its about my height.
We found our tree pretty quick, which was great because it was so cold out. Mae wanted to help Sean with the saw, so we let her take a picture holding onto it.
Maes hands got so cold (she doesn't like to wear gloves) because she was throwing snow at us. It was pretty cute we didn't even prompt her to do it. Luckily Sean had a pair on to share with her.It was crazy bright out, we could hardly keep our eyes open for the picture.

Christmathanks 2009

Christmathanks has come and gone once again. I cant believe that Christmas is next. It was a fun but quiet year we were missing 7 people, Mistys family and Michael. Next year is going to be back to its usual wild form. I hope Michael will be ready for it, there will be 3 new additions since he left on his mission. We ate a ridiculous amount of food once again. We had our Christmathanks Eve Fondue, big yummy breakfast Christmathanks morn, then to top it off Thanksgiving Dinner (I made 10 lbs of potato's that made my hand sore for days) and Desert. I ate way to much pie but it was worth it.
It was fun to watch Mae and Jovie get more into this year, they were both amazed by the "magic" bottles.
Mae got some good stuff, along with this princess dress. She was in a very weird mood that morning and wouldn't smile. Oh well.
This was pretty funny, Papa J was teasing Mae with the princess crown (whats new.)

6 Month Baby Boy In The Belly Apptointment

I had my 6 month appointment this morning. It went really well, his heartbeat was good and strong at 160. I am measuring a little big but this is my second so that is to be expected. Other then that all was great. Once again Mae was a total trooper. I didn't even take the stroller in this time, she sat with me up on the exam table and sucked on her sucker, and watched. She has been with me to every appointment so its pretty funny. She totally knows the ropes, I have to pee in a cup every time so she informed me today that I need to "put it in there momma" (the little cubby).

The Lion King

Grace took Mae to The Lion King last night. Sean and I tagged along for the ride :) We were all pretty worried how Mae was going to do sitting still for a 3 hour play, but we decided to take the risk. Well she proved us wrong and sat absolutely captivated the whole show. She had so much fun watching all the animals and pointing them out.
Mae and Grace before the show started.
Mae was having a blast people watching while we waited to go take our seats. We didn't want to sit to early just in case she got to antsy.
She had just seen a lady in a funny coat that she was pointing out to me. I think we have a little fashionista on our hands.
We finally got to our seats and Mae would not look at the camera *sigh*
So I had to sneak a front shot while Mae was excitedly talking about The Lion King drums.
Mae is still talking about the show today, So told me she wants "more Lion King". I think she liked it don't you?

NWAACC Cross Country Championships 2009

CCS Mens Team 1st
CCS Womens Team 2nd
CCS Combined Team 2nd
Mens Coach of the Year Sean
Womens Coach of the Year Sean and Everett coach
Cross Country season is over for another year. It was a good season, Sean rocked it out as Head Coach! Mae and I were able to head down with the team and support them this year (maybe we should go every year, since in the past 3 years the 2 we have been to it did not rain). Mae had so much fun riding the bus, I couldn't believe that she stayed occupied the whole time (only cried once during a nap), of course it helped that she loves all the coaching staff and could bounce around from seat to seat.
Race Day!!!! The girls team did great, they had really tough competition and knew it was going to be really tough to get first. They gave it their all and finished with a solid 2nd. This picture is after the race talking things out.
The guys team also had their work cut out for them, and they delivered! It was a sea of yellow in the front of the race, very cool to see. They had 5 of the top 7 spots! NWAACC CHAMPS! Very cool to be there and watch them stomp all over Everett.
Again after the race, talking it out. That's one of the funnest things is hearing all the athletes stories of stuff that happens during the race. I think this one was about Dan almost getting tripped (on purpose) by an Everett kid.
This was the only picture that I got of Sean and Mae on race day so I had to put it up. He was so busy coaching that I wasn't about to snag him for a photo-op.
The coaches Katie, Sean, James, and Larry crunching numbers after the race.
Mae has so many friends running around these cross country meets. for most of this meet she hung with Evelyn (her fake twin). They are so cute running around together with their little blond heads.
The girls receiving their trophy for 2nd!
The guys receiving their trophy for being NWAACC CHAMPS!
Sean also got the honor of receiving Coach of the year on the mens side, and Co-Coach of the year on the womens side! Very very cool!
Nice work babe love ya!

Finally A Hair Cut

Mae finally got her first haircut yesterday night. She sat so well for it, I think her watching me do so many over the past 2 years she knew what she was in for.
Before. All smiles and ready to roll.
Yes she did need a sucker to keep her in the chair. I cant even imagine how much hair she swallowed last night.
She didn't like what was happening at that moment.
The last layers to finish off the style. I for got to get an after picture, so stay tuned for that.

5 Month Baby Boy In The Belly Appointment

I also had an appointment on Monday. It was a very busy morning for Mae and I. My appointment was great. The babys heartbeat was steady at 156, right about where his heartbeat has been the whole time. I am measuring right on for my weeks, and I am assuming my weight is fine since they didn't say anything to me about it. Dr. Barrong also said that the Ultrasound looked good, and the whole crossed across his chest umbilical cord thing was not a problem. So I'm going to keep crossing my fingers for a boring pregnancy.

Maes 2 Year Check Up

On Monday Mae had her 2 year Well Baby. It went really well, it was actually her best appointment yet. She sat really still and did what Dr. Fiona asked her to do, instead of kicking and screaming. I think she did so well because she has been going to all of my Doctor Appointments. I was so proud of her. She even performed for Fiona, saying her words and all that good stuff. She normally sits there and doesn't say a word or cries.
Lets see Maes stats.........24 lbs, 16th percentile
34.3 in, 64th percentile
So if the old wives tale is correct and I double Maes inches she will about 68.6 in (almost 5'9").

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! Once again I was really bad at taking pictures on Halloween. I think since Misty got so many good ones of Mae her costume I just didn't even think about it. We normally got to our friends Rick and Graces house for the Annual Halloween party, but this year poor Rick got the flu. Sean and I got the call to host the party at 4:30 the day before, we said why not. Of course it helped that it was potluck style, and Grace brought all her party stuff over.
We didn't take Mae trick-or-treating this year. We figured with the whole H1N1 flu, and the fact that she is only 2 she can be in the dark for the next year or so. I can tell you right now she didn't miss a thing. She had so much fun with the other kids trick-or-treating, and our friends at the party, not to mention the basket of candy she kept sneaking into. She had a blast.
We finally got a family picture at the end of the night. I had to finally pin my hair back off my face it was making me crazy. Mae wanted nothing to do with the picture though.

Mae Turns 2!!!!!!!!

Its official Mae is 2! What a fun day we had. The morning started out with a delicious breakfast of Dutch Babies and Sausage (Mae loves sausage she ate 5 links), and a Birthday balloon. Mae and I then made cupcakes, yes even though I don't like cake doesn't mean I'm going to keep Mae in the dark about it. She had tons of fun helping me make them. She pored in all the ingredients for me it was really cute. Then she went down for her nap, while I cleaned the kitchen and prepped dinner before we meet Misty and her kids for ice cream at The Scoop (out favorite ice cream shop). Then we picked up her Ice Cream Cake (a compromise) and headed home for dinner with Seans parents. Very very busy day, but Mae loved it and knew it was a special day just for her.
I don't know how many of you remember how she cried and cried last year at the Birthday Candle. Well this year was the opposite, she blew out the candles at least 5 times. She even sang herself a little happy birthday song before she blew them out one of the times. I was really bad at taking pictures this year (I got a lot of video), but we got pics of her candle blowing.

Mae really had fun with all her gifts this year. She really only gets toys around this time of year so I think it makes it more special for her. She keeps going into her room and saying "toys mama toys."

Greenbluff Fall 2009

We finally made it up to Greenbluff this fall. Our schedule was so crazy it was hard to find a time. We managed to find an hour on Sunday to get up there. We had a few things on our list to do once we were up there.
1- Get Pumpkins
Sean and Mae were the master pumpkin pickers. Mae picked out the little ones for her, it was funny because she took her time and checked them all out like Sean did. The pics show both of their processes in finding a great pumpkin.
Just looking at them, deciding which is best.
Nope not that one, try again.
She finally found one. It had to have a stem.
Seans turn now. This one looks good. Checking all sides. Yup this one works great. It was the one we ended up buying.
2- Take Annual Pictures
They have these every year, so therefore we have to take pictures of us in them every year. We got one of all of us this year it was pretty funny.
Daddy-O, Mae was cracking up when Sean was poking his head out.
Mommasitas turn.
Mae was saying "cheese" like a champ.
We also plan on taking her picture by this height chart every year. It gonna be fun to watch her growth this way. We were having a hard time getting her to stand still for the picture.
Finally we discovered that if I held her hands she would pose for a minute.
3- Ride Ponys
Mae loves to talk about horses, but when she gets up close to them she wants nothing to do with them. We tried to get her to ride on the wagon pulled by the big horses and she wouldn't do it. Then we talked about riding the ponies, at first she wanted nothing to with them. But then somehow we convinced her to give them a shot. She had so much fun! Laughing and talking the whole time, she kept talking about the "cow" horsey (it was black and white). After we finally got her on the pony it was hard to get her off. We decided that was an ok thing, she faced her horse fear and won.
One last final picture of Mae and I after her pony ride!
Happy Greenbluff Day!
