Halloween Night

Finally it was the time to poke pumpkins! Mae had been asking for about 2 weeks to "poke" pumpkins. We made good on our promise Halloween night! This year we were hooked up with pumpkins by both sets of Gparents. So we were able to decorate with some and carve some, it was awesome.
Owen just wanted to lick the pumpkins.

Getting all set up, Mae was giddy with anticipation.
Mae was really good about getting all in and diggin out her own seeds.

Oh so cute!

The final product. Seans is on the left with the crazy star eyes and ridges. Maes is in the middle, I carved it and she told me what to carve, what shapes, how many, etc... That leaves mine on the right with the squiggly smile. You can also see that Mae also had a good time coloring her pumpkin while Sean and I carved ours.
All lit up!
Now for trick or treating. We wern't going to take Mae and Owen but when kids came to our door Mae was like "hold on, what is that all about?" So we told her that if she put on a costume she could go to a few houses and trick or treat. At first she did not want to put anything on and just go, but then we explained to her that no one would give her any candy unless she had a costume on. So she finally decided on the princess crown that April got her for her birthday, and Mary and Quinn helped her decorate. I of course had to put on my crown also, I mean if my hair was still crimped from the night before I needed a crown right?
The first door Ednas house. Mae even whispered trick or treat, and said thank you.
Owen the lion and Sean. Staying nice and warm in that big lion sweatshirt.

Showing off the goods. She already cant wait to trick or treat next year. Like all kids she thinks its awesome to get free candy for being cute!

Fall Foliage Fun

Playing in the leaves. It was such a nice day, that we all got outside and played in the leaves. Kids, grownups, and dog all enjoyed the day!
Mae and Emmett had a blast playing on the play set that has not quite made it to the back yard yet. It will eventually.
Owen was lovin on Uncle D While sporting his fall flannel.
So many pictures were taken that day in the fall foliage.
Mae had so much fun walking Mac up and down the sidewalk.
Strike a pose. Mary and I tore it up for the camera.
WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Pit Stop.

Under The Table

Owen loves to get under things. Especially the kid table, its just the right height for him. I see many forts in our future!

O, Em, & Mac

Brook and Dave got a new little puppy named Mac and Owen LOVED him (no that does not meen we are getting a dog). If Brook would have let Owen he would have slimmed Mac for hours :) But both baby and dog were very nice to each other.

Owen also loves his little (I only say little because I believe that Owens clothes are a larger size, and he almost weighs more) cousin Emmett. They had so much fun playing together. I cant wait for Christmas when they can just run/crawl wild together.

Back to going after Mac.

Maes 3rd Birthday Brunch

Mae had a blast turning 3! It was so much fun that she got so into her birthday, she even had her first friend party the Friday before. So she got to celebrate for 3 days straight. Friend party Friday, Actual birthday on Saturday, Brunch on Sunday. We had spent the whole week before the party weekend baking and prepping. It was exhausting but worth it, because on the weekend I got to just enjoy all the parties myself.
Mae was also a huge help in the baking and prepping department. In fact on Friday she got mad at April for making a mess before her party started. She also helped me decorate her Ice Cream Cake on Sunday.
The final product. Earlier in the week Mae informed me that her cake needed a princess and her name. So I hooked her up!
The girl was so crazy excited to blow out her candles.
She got all but 1.
Present time! She had so much fun opening her awesome gifts. And she was super excited to get some new toys to play with.
Mae and Emmett loved the cake! I made this rocking mint chocolate ice cream cake roll. I wish I had made 2 so that i could have cut the slices bigger :)

G's Halloween

Halloween has come and gone again. Which means that G had her Halloween party! Its always a fun time the kids get to run wild and well so do the adults (I use the word loosely).
This was not planned, Mari and I were talking literally the day before about what the boys were going to be for Halloween and well what do you know they were both going to be lions. What are the odds I swear these two really are twiners.
Tinkerbell Madi, she had so much fun playing with all the girls!
Mae was in candy heaven! Now most of you know that Mae did not want to dress up for Halloween, I was really OK with that I figure if she doesn't want to dress up then I don't have to get her a costume. Even though I took an outfit just in case she changed her mind. She didn't, she stayed true to what she believed in. Man my Mae is awesome!
Freddy Mercury and The Paperbag Princess!
The Ladybug Queen and her Inmate!
Besties and Babies!
The hostess with the mostess and her Sumo!

Owens First Football Game

A couple weeks ago Seans old High School's football team was playing so we bundled up the kids and went. Owen loved the game and Mae loved the cheerleaders and the dance team at half time. Although by the end of the game she was throwing up the touchdown sign and cheering herself. Owen passed out on Gma Macs lap at some point, so he stayed nice and cosy.

Walla Walla Half 2010

The Walla Walla Half was awesome! Even though if you ask dad he will tell you that I looked miserable. But I LOVED it even though they started the race 5 minutes early LAME, so I started out to fast and that came back to kick me in the end. I got asthma about mile 8 also LAME, I had to walk more then I ever have. It was crazy HOT 75 degrees in October, I was not prepared for that. Even with all that I loved the race. Sean and I spent the weekend in Walla Walla with just mom and dad, it was kinda weird but cool at the same time. I also got to spend a little time with Carolyn, Marni, Diane, Jax and Colt. We only get to see each other maybe once a year so it was great to be doing the same race.
Here we are before the race began. Hanging by the bathrooms :)
Early on in the race I was still feeling pretty good. If I would have done the 10k I would have killed it.
Care and Marn (I would like to add that Care was about 7 weeks preggo when doing the race).
Oh the pain! I have no idea how far into the race this is but I look really hot and tired.
Sean took a sweet pic!
Part of my support team! Sean, Mom, Dad, Mae, and Owen stoped at least every mile and cheered me on. Gma and Gpa Johnson also cheered me on about mile 2, and Gwen drove by me around mile 10. It was so nice to have all the support.
Only the longest 1.1 miles of the whole race left to go.
Amazing that we are all smiles still after the race. Neither of us met our goals but we still completed the race and had fun doing it. I will definitely be running the Walla Walla half again and rock it out!
