Update

We are remodeling our bathroom. What started out as a leaking sink has turned into new sink, new paint, new tile floor, new light, new fan, and new tile floors. Its going to be awesome when its over but man we do not love house projects in this house. Mostly cause Sean ends up doing all the work and gets mad at me. But I did help paint the bathroom twice (cause we didn't like the first color) so that is more then I have done around the house with him in a long time.
So besides doing the bathroom I also return to work on Tuesday its gonna be hard but I'm so lucky that I have amazing support in my awesome husband Sean, sister Misty, and great friend Malia (Niles mammasita). These 3 are gonna help watch my precious Mae while I make my clients hair awesome. Needless to say this next week is going to be CRAZY but isn't that what we all thrive on. So if I don't get a new post don't you now know why. But I promise lots of pictures of the new bathroom. And pics of Mae when this week is over.
I love this shot. Its what Mae was doing while I was on the computer the other day. She loves to hold on to my necklace.
Opps she let go.

Freezing

The weather has been absolutely awful lately. Its been getting down to 0 degrees or below the last few nights. And is going to keep doing that for the next couple of days. So yesterday Mae was fussing pretty bad at about 5:30 am which is not normal for her. I knew she wasn't hungry but I reached out to comfort her and when I stuck my hand out of the covers it was stung with coldness. I felt Maes face and hands and they were absolutely freezing. So I pulled her into bed with us. Her hands took awhile to warm up after that even. But she was much happier and fell back to sleep immediately. So still not thinking about how cold the air in our house was I tried to fall back asleep. But then Sean had to get up for an early work meeting and looked @ the thermostat and YIKES it was at 50 degrees. Now we keep our house cooler then most but that is crazy. Sean had to take off quick though and I had a highlight at the Salon at 9 so neither of us could figure it out right away. but I will say when Sean got home from his meeting around 9 the house was at 45 degrees. So cold. Then Sean called our friend Joey who is awesome and he came over to help Sean try to figure it out. They ended up having to call a place and it turns out that our filters were dirty so our furnace shut itself off because it was to hot. Which is a great function so now you better believe that we will be making sure that we clean our filters on a regular basis. But it got all figured out, didn't cost to much and our house was back up to 67 degrees I'm a matter of hours. But while we were waiting for the house to warm up we were very bundled, and we don't normally wear stocking hats or put one on Mae but we sure did yesterday.
I just thought that this face was so cute.
Cute little family in our hats snuggled on the couch trying to stay warm.
When it finally warmed up the hats came off and Maes hair was standing on end. It was pretty cute. Oh and she was also starving and screaming at me so that I would feed her. Don't worry I fed her right after that picture.

Visiting Madi

Last week I had decided that I need a Mari fix. So Mae and I headed over to hang with our friends. We choose a night when Sean is @ night class so we didn't cut in on Daddy time. But he got out from class early and got to come and hang out for a little bit. It was a great night just hanging and talking all while ogling our precious babes.
Madi is so cute lovin on Mae.
Can you believe that Madi and Mae are 4 months apart I think I have a tall one on my hands.
While we were there Mari was doing her bedtime routine with Madi, and part of that involves giving her a bath. I had to take a picture of her after the bath cause she was using the Linda towel (def: the signature towel that my mom makes for the babies). And was looking so cute and clean in it.

The Snow!!

So last week we got a huge dumping of snow. And it happened on the night before Sean and I were gonna watch Mistys kids. So we had to play in the snow with them when they came over.
Mae and I were posing pretty for Sean while he took our winter wonderland picture.
Gabe the ultimate boy loved being outside in the snow. I think Gabe was trying to help Sean move the snow.
The girls and I got cold so we went inside early and started the hot water to make hot coco.

4x100 Meter Relay

This video is awesome. Its of the boys Doing the 4x100 relay. Sean totaly rocked it out but it was a close one.

The Mario Olympics

So this last weekend when we were in Walla Walla we played a little Wii. The game of choice was the Mario vs. Sonic Olympics Beijing 2008. It was so much fun, mom and dad had 4 controllers so 4 of us could play at a time. And believe it or not the guys actually let the girls play for a little bit. But we were not even half as entertaining as they were.
I think Shannon, Jill and I were trying to long jump in this picture.
The boys battling it out.
Sean striking a pose.
On Sunday I was giving April a hair cut and mom and dad had gone to church so we just had our hubbies to help out and they wanted to keep playing the Wii. So Matt held the 2 girls while Sean played. But don't worry they unlocked some new events so it was well worth it.
Sean was the high jump champ. Way to go babe!
Aprils hair looks awesome if I might add. Thanks for the help boys.

Mae and Jovie

Sean, Mae and I went to Walla Walla this last weekend to visit Maes newest cousin Jovie. It was a fun trip, and of course we took a ton of pictures of the girls. So here are a few from out little photo shoot.
Mae was being a good big girl and supporting Jovies head during the pictures.
The blankets that the girls are in were made by April and they are so cute.
Just another picture I wanted to show you guys the difference in their size. Mae looks so big next to Jovie. Its amazing what a few pounds and a couple months makes.
When Gma J was holding the girls Mae was just lovin all over Jovie.
She hugged her for a long time too. It was so cute.

2 Month Check-up

A week ago Mae had her 2 month appointment. I was excited to go so we could find out how much she had grown. But I forgot that she was gonna have her first series of shots also. Mae is a tall girl though 24 in long and in the 91st percentile, but lean only weighing in at 10.5 lbs and in the 40th percentile. The doc said that was great though because she is being consistent in her growth. So then Mae got her shots that we did not love, Mae cried when she got them and I also got a little teary eyed. But she calmed down pretty quick so I thought that she would be fine. She wasn't later that day she just cried and cried I even had to give her some baby tylenol. She eventually calmed down but it was sure sad. All in all her check-up went well and shes healthy as can be!
Here's a picture of Mae's band aids they were cute and sparkly just perfect for a little girl. Oh and her new doll Abby which she loves (thanks Malia, Nick, Oliver, and Niles).
I had to put this picture in because I thought it was so cute.

New Years with the McNards

So every New Years Seans family has been spending it with the Menards really good family friends of the McLachlan family. So this year we decided to dress up. So we all got into the spirit of things and dressed crazy and we all had new names for the evening. And all the boys did their facial hair special to go with their outfits. I must say it was one of the best New Years ever.
So Sean and I were renamed Vic and River. So Mae was naturally called Creek
This is Mary her new name was Roxy
This is us at midnight with Mae for her first New Years.
Sean oh wait I mean Vic kissin the camera
I cant remember Gma Macs name but her outfit was awfully awsome
River, Vic, and Creek early in the evening.
River and Roxy hamming it up
Lets see we have Don (Ben in the Jean Blazer) talking to Jersey Joe, and Vicky, Roxy and Tommy (Dave) who runs Dons cattle ranch.
Ricky (Jake) and Vicky just got hitched this last summer.
Vicky and River so glam.
Um it was freezing outside.
Dottie (Megan), Vicky, Roxy, and River in 2008 its gonna be a good year I can feel it.

Sleazy Vic lighting off fireworks, with Dirty Don.

I'm really glad that no one caught on fire. Although it was a close one for Ricky.

Barbra (Brook), Dottie and Geoff (sorry I don't remember his alias) being cheesy after midnight.

Oh Ricky, and Jersey Joe, that just looks like trouble doesn't it?

YIKES

Thanks Gma Mac for watching Mae so I could play tonight. You were a huge help and obviously Mae loved it considering how passed out she was.

Mae did so awesome last night letting Sean and I have fun with our friends. So here's to 2008 I hope its a good one for all.

New Years Eve

Ok so there really was no way to describe New Years so I decided to just post 2 videos that I took last night. Enjoy and Just know that everyone is in character and ar not really like that in real life.

Christmas With The Thor Clan

Every December our Thor group does a Christmas theme for dinner. So this year it was Sweden. We had delicious food, a Crown roast, Fruit soup, Swedish meatballs, Carrot and potato soup, and chewy Ginger Snaps for desert. It was all amazing, but we are the best cooks ever so that's not surprising.
Here's Mae helping Sean in the Kitchen.
Do you like me pope hat napkin?
Mae passed out after her dinner it was so cute.
Jason wearing yellow and blue for the Swedish Flag. Grace in her cute holiday shirt one of my favorites. And Sean and Mae all working hard in the kitchen.
Momma and Mae being silly for the camera.
Every year we also do a Gift exchange for new Kitchen items. We all got some good stuff and there was no stealing of gifts from each other. I was excited though because I got a french press so all my coffee drinking friends you can now have a cup of Joe when your over. But Ill be using it for tea. Sean got a nice new cutting tool and we all know he like a good kitchen knife. But probably the funniest gift of all was one of the gifts that I brought. This amazing Thai cookbook from Costco and Rick picked it, but the funny thing was, was that he had bought that cookbook for Grace for Christmas but he played it off really well that he had never seen it before and he was really excited to get it. Well Thors Clan we love you all and here's to an awesome new year of dinners!!!!
