50 Meter Dash Champ

Mae is officially the youngest (7 1/2 months) assisted 50 meter dash champ at the Summer meets, at SFCC.

It was so much fun to take her to the track meet last week and let her play on the track. She has been to so many meets already that she was actually pretty excited to get to run. At every summer meet they run the 50 meter dash for the youngins. Its so dang cute all these munchkins running their little hearts out, sometimes even in a straight line. And since Mae has been walking holding onto our fingers I figured she would love it. Oh I don't have pics of it but she also High Jumped (with my help of course).

Fathers Day @ The Lake

We finally made it out to the lake. We have been so busy that we haven't been able to make it to the last few Lake Dinners. But boy we sure picked a good one to make it to. The weather was amazing and the water was surprisingly warm. Even though I didn't get all the way in and just stayed by the edge with Mae, Sean and a few of the others were jumping off the dock. Not to mention that we got to eat Nonnies burgers probably the only hamburgers that I really like to eat.

I forgot her little swimmers (diapers) so we just took her diaper off. And her swimsuit bottoms did not fit, but it made for some great pictures.
Finally she got to get in the water. and had so much fun splashing around. She couldn't stay in too long because even though the water was warm enough her little body got cold fast.

Horses and Bikes

On Fathers day we headed out to Seans Parents house to hang with the fam. Everyone was in town so it was a lot of fun.

In the first hour that we were out at the house Mae had a couple of firsts. JF had gotten out of his coral and went galloping down the road. So the boys took off to get him back and when they did. Well technically Brook was the one who walked him back. Geoff took Mae to meet him. She was not afraid at all, reached right out and touched his nose.

After the horse excitement, we got out the bikes. My bike is out at their house until Seans gets in so we can make only one trip to get them. Since gas is so much we are trying to not make to many unnecessary trips anywhere. Geoff and Danelle brought Maes baby seat over since they were so awesome and picked it up for us. We got it all figured out and Geoff took Mae on her first ride around the driveway (since there was no helmet we didn't go far). She loved it. So now Sean and I are impatiently waiting for his bike to get in so we can go on family bike rides.

And in case you were wondering Geoff is more then just a goatee, he does have eyes and a top of a head.

Playin @ The Park

We love the park by our house. In case you can't tell I blog about it all the time. Well we have moved on from just playing on the swings. Hello baby toys. Mae loves to walk up the slide, not so sure with the slide down though.

Maes New Things

So I promised an update on all things Mae. So besides a few cute pics of my wee one, I'll also fill you in on her major developments.

On my b-day she turned 7 months old and began signing more. It was so cute, we had no idea what she wanted more of but she was signing it all day. It was the best b-day gift from her.

She also has her 2 bottom teeth now and I believe that she is working on 2 more in the bottom row. Cranky pants in our house. But the teeth are so cute. Except for when she bites me while feeding. I think that I've taken care of that problem its been a few days since I've been bit, so that's great.

Dancin, Dancin, Dancin she's a Dancing Machine..... So cute I promise to get a video up soon.

And shes a moving and a shaking, well really shes army crawling all over the place now. I super cleaned and de-cluttered the kitchen on Monday she that she can go where she wants. Her little army crawl is so cute I also promise a video of that soon.

Ok I think that's the latest and the greatest in the life of Mae for the moment.

Hanging With The Johnson Fam

I still have to blog about Michaels Graduation weekend and The L. Johnson Family Reunion. So Michaels Graduation FREEZING COLD AND RAINING! I think that the caps say it all. But it was so awesome to get to go and support the little bro. He was so happy to graduate. After graduation the fam drove out to this rad lodge in Tolgate. We got there at like 11 pm but it was so nice to wake up and just be there and have all day to hang and play.

Day one walk so COLD. We were all layered up, but it was so fun even though we didn't go very far.

Day two walk so WARM. If 55 is warm but with how dang cold it has been we were all roasting. The weather has really been bizarre this spring or winter or fall. or.... I don't know any more.

On our walk the second day we ran into the KILLER cows. And turned around and went the other way. We had to protect our wee ones. Double click on this picture and check out the wholly mammoth bull. Like I said KILLER cow.

It was such a fun weekend. And I cant wait to go back to the Lodge with Friends and Family.

Crazy Water And Birthday Fun

The Spokane Falls have been going crazy time the past few weeks because of how fast it warmed up (even though you would never know that right now cause it snowed this morning). We of course had to go and check them out, and they are huge I'm not the best at pictures but I think that this one showed the crazy spray that was happening over the bridge. It was kinda like a amusement park water ride.

Mae was very concerned about the water.
We kept her buckled in tight in her stroller so that she wouldn't fall over the bridge and get swept away. I know that sounds morbid but it was what I thought at the time.
And after we walked around for a bit she relaxed, and was not so stressed out about the water. I just love how chilled out she is in her stroller. Her legs look so long.
I also turned 27 about 2 weeks ago and I must say I was not very excited about it. But Sean made it a very special day for me and the weather was so nice. Mae even took a nap and I got to lay out and read a book (you all know how much I love that). I really had no idea what Sean was going to do but I must say I hoped for the best, and boy did her deliver. I got flowers @ work the day before, Awesome gifts the morning of my birthday a moms picture brag book, and a couple of shirts. I'm not gonna lie I thought that was it for the day and I was so happy with that. But that night he had a surprise dinner for me with my girlies Mari and Malia. Also their kids were there to play with Mae. And Jason came to be Seans sous (spelled wrong) Chef, and eat the great food they made. Which was Chicken Fettichine Alfredo one of my favorite foods. I must also thank Malia for searching for my favorite pie which is Peach, but there was none to be found this time of year, although I really appreciate the effort and love that went into finding it. So even though I was not excited to turn 27 this year it was actually an awesome birthday.

Championships

I went out of order, championships for the Community Colleges happened before the Half and the Melting Pot. It was so much fun to go and support the team. Mae and I love to go to track meets and Mae has been going to practice with Sean during the season so she need to go and watch the kids run and show her support. The only down side was that the weather was CRAPPY! But I've run in plenty of those meets so I figured that we were going to stay and tuff it out through the weather, even though my hand was cramping from holding the umbrella for like 6 hours.

Oh poor Mae she was so tired, but she was nice and toasty all bundled up with me and the front pack. I must say she also kept me pretty warm also.

Please oh please let me out....
Staying as dry as we can. I did go out and buy the umbrella that morning because I didn't have one big enough.

Mae Loves The Melting Pot

Same day that we ran the Half, Sean and I had dinner plans with Rick, Grace, and Jason for our birthdays. Just so you get an idea we have 5 birthdays to celebrate in 2 weeks time, so we combined them all into 1 awesome dinner and went to the Melting Pot. For those of you who don't know the Melting Pot is a Fondue restaurant. So Good!

The dinner that we got had 4 courses (I think). Cheese, Salad, Meat, and Dessert. YUM YUM YUM!!!! Needless to say we loved all of it. Especially the dessert. We were able to choose 2 chocolate fondues this is a picture of the Yin-Yang dessert.

CDA Half Marathon

OK so I have 2 weeks of blogging to catch up on. To begin on Memorial Day weekend Sean and I ran the CDA Half 13.1 miles. He really didn't want to run it at first but it was the second of my running goals post labor so he went along with me and ended up having a great time. The weather was perfect that Sunday morning (no rain) and the race started @ 7:30 am so we had to get up bright and early. We picked up Gma and Gpa Mac on the way out so they could watch Mae for us while we ran. Thanks guys. I knew that after running Bloomsday that I'm not in super running shape so I set a very attainable goal for myself to run 10 min. miles. I figured to play it safe and achieve my goals rather then set my hopes up high and dash them. The race got started and I ran the first few miles a little faster then I wanted to so I slowed it down a bit and hit 10 min miles the rest of the race and I hurt really bad in the end but I did it (in 2 hrs and 10 min), and Sean did it (he did run it in 1 hr and 27 min, and placed 21st over all). That's all that matters even though our knees hurt so bad for the next 2 days it was fun.

Mae and I after the race, I couldn't keep my eyes open cause the sweat was burning them so bad.

Oh the post race family. I made Sean run the last mile and a half with me which was awesome, because that was the worst part of the whole race. Mostly because you run past the finish line and then you have a mile and a half to go such a brain trip when you've run 11.5 miles.
Probably the best part of the whole thing are the oranges @ the end. I'm not the only one who loved them, Mae was super grubbin on the orange slices. Rick was holding her and getting all the orange slobber on his hand but he was a good sport.

I promise a new post soon. When I start to post you will understand how crazy my life has been in the past few weeks. Hardly time to breathe. But Mae has been doing some rad things that you all have to wait until I post pics to find out what they are. So stay tuned.............
