A Moment

So Mae is peacefully playing by herself on the floor and what do I do I take the time to read everyones posts and comment. Thus leaving no time to post with pictures. Well I plan on doing that tonight I think. Well only if I finish New Moon by Stephanie Meyer, which I can't put down. Except to blog stalk. Speaking of Blog stalking check out my new blog with my sisters. Because I Said So, its just random thoughts and finds from 3 sisters with kids. I think its totally fun.

Black Eye

I keep forgetting to post this, but on Nathens Birthday Mae was on the couch with Sean and Gabe when she decided to jump off head first. As you can see she landed right on her face and gave herself a black eye.

Weekend In Seattle

We headed across the state for the weekend of the 4th. It was an awesome trip, and full of fun. We hit up Pikes Place Market, helped Brook and Dave with their house (well Sean did I hung with Mae outside), 2 family bbq's and a trip to the U Village so I could go to a J Crew store since I only have shopped it online. Well that about sums up the weekend so now onto the the pics and captions.

Self explanatory. Pikes Place Market sign and the beginning of our weekend.

Mary, Sean and Mae after we went to Old Navy to get Mae a sweatshirt and some pants since it was so bloody cold in Seattle. We all took turns holding Mae in the Sling and Mary was first. Mae was kinda mad to get squished in because she is getting pretty long, I need to read the directions to learn the hip hold.
Mae and the Golden (Bronze) Pig. I was so excited to see this and take Maes picture on her. Yes the pig is a girl and believe it or not her name is Rachel. We found that out as we were about to leave and saw some shirts that said Rachel The Pig with a picture of the Golden Pig. I of course bought one. The reason I so wanted to take Maes picture on Rachel is because Mae was born in the Year of the Golden Pig, apparently a very lucky year.

I need to crop out the crazy lady standing next to us.
After more wondering around we ran into one of those creepy Fortune Teller booths. Mae was very intrigued by it and she even pushed the button herself (with Seans help).
She really wanted to touch the Fortune Teller.
She got her fortune and she was very excited to to hold onto it. And to tell you the truth we read the card but we can't remember what it said. It was pretty cheesy I know that. About 5 minutes after she got it she proceeded to drop it. At least it was only 50 cents and I got some cute pictures.

We then saw these street performers who were amazing. They were singing Old School songs accapella. Mae was in a great mood so she decided to tip them a dollar.
These next 2 pictures are so funny. I love these cut out head boards. When you see one you just have to do it. I didn't even look at the picture on the front until after the picture which makes it even funnier.
Oh so cute Bro and Sis.
Self portrait.
After the Market we headed over to Brook and Daves new house so Sean and Mary could work on it with them. I didn't take any pictures there but they are doing some major work. I know Brook will be blogging it one of these days so I will keep you posted when she does then you can stalk her blog and see the transformation. Then Seans Cuz Stephanie had us over for a very nice bbq to complete the evening.

It was a fun 4th but weird because we were not at the Lake watching the fireworks. In fact we didn't even watch any on the actual 4th.
Although we didn't watch any Fireworks on the 4th we did watch a great show on the 5th at Matt's house. The fireworks were after an awesome day filled with Golf, Pickle ball, Basketball, Volleyball, Ping Pong, good food and good company with Seans dads side of the family (who we don't see very often so it was really great to see them)
Here we are watching the fireworks. Sean finally came up to check on us and watch them with us since he had been playing so hard all day. I'm glad he had so much fun though.
Mae wasn't afraid of the Fireworks, she just watched them and sat there. Maybe she squealed with delight a few times but I honestly can't remember. I do love her face though because you can tell that she like it.
Say What?
She was getting so tired it was way past her bedtime, well way past everyones bedtime.
She finally passed out on Marys lap holding the Glow In The dark Golf ball that cousin Matt gave her. She loves that ball just staring at it when its flashing red. I will say even I want to stare at it when it is flashing red.
Yup It was a fun weekend full of good memories and fun. But I will say we have been so busy that we couldn't wait to get home. Mae was pretty excited to get home too. I've even kept the activities to a minimum since we've been home and we're all feeling much more relaxed.

Aunt Jamima

It has been so crazy hot the last few weeks, and I love it. But Miss Mae took a little while to get used to it. So when we went out to take the Boat back to Seans parents house we made a pit stop @ Auntie Betty, and Uncle Joes pool to cool her off. Before we got there though we were soaking her receiving blanket in water to keep her cool in the car.
When we got to the pool it was blazing hot and not really any shade. So I came up with another brilliant plan and wrapped her head in the receiving blanket Aunt Jamima style. Then proceeded to take a million pictures.
Mae and Auntie Betty floating along.
Ok so I'm ridiculous with all the pictures. But this is my baby book for Mae so you can just deal.
Drinking some delicious water out of the cap. I really just love her so dang much!

Lake Roosevelt Camping Trip Extravaganza

Camping is awesome, especially on the lake. So Hoopfest weekend we took off to the water because we knew that it would be peaceful and not crowed. Our friends Malia, Nick, Oliver and Niles joined us for Maes first camping trip. Gma and Gpa Mac were so awesome and they let us borrow their Boat and their Truck so we could go camping on the Lake.
Here are Sean and Nick we have just begun our journey at this point. We were scouting out the perfect camp site. One with Beach and Trees. The weather was amazing in the mid 90's and not a cloud in the sky.
Welcome to camp Llamacorn. Oliver found this stick and named it. Then we had a discussion that that is what we should call our campsite.
Another view of the amazing site. As you can see Trees and Beach. Almost perfect except for the millions of ants. But what can you do its camping and bugs come with camping.
This is Mae and I relaxing on the Boat. You can see my feet and her head. The boat was a great place to hang with her because it kept her contained and not eating sand and rocks.
Mae and Sean on the morning of our 2nd day there.

Pretty much all we did that day was lay around and nap. Sean hopped in the boat and took pics of Mae and I sleeping. Note the foot on the face. How am I even sleeping?
Then I got up to read and Sean laid down by her, and he fell asleep with her. I love how they are both covering their eyes. Finally nap time was over and Sean had to fix the anchor. Mae had so much fun watching him dive in and out of the water. And look how big she is supporting herself.
Goggle face Sean. Now you can see why Mae was so entertained.
I wonder what they are plotting?

Splish splash Mae was in the lake and not eating rocks. Mostly because of my brilliant plan to put a sheet in the water to cover them. and Sean questioned my packing sheets. I said hey babe you never know what you'll need them for. And now I will always take a sheet to the lake.
As you can tell she loves it!
And loves it!
She also loves Chile. Sean was feeding her the Chile for our Chile Dogs.
I think this Picture is awesome with her crazy messy Chile face. MMMMMM GOOD!!!

Meet the 3 eyebrow witch Malia.
Gossip mags by the fire. Nothing better then that.
These next 3 pics are just more super cute Mae in the water pictures. Man she is taking huge steps here.
I love how her hat is all crazy and she has a spaz happy face on while kicking the water with all her might.
And last but not least the tongue roll shot. That she got from her dad. Him and all his siblings can do it, and I gotta admit it was pretty funny watching them all do it with her the other day.
Well Maes first camping trip was a success, and that's a good thing because we have 2 more to go this summer.

Gardning

My little helper. She was so cute the other day when Sean and I were doing some yard work. I had her on a blanket but then she had enough of that and started playing in the dirt on the edges.

She was concentrating very hard on her work.Making sure the piece of slate was perfectly clean.
Gotta get my hands in the dirt, well that's what I think she was thinking.
You can see how she was working on smoothing out that dirt patch. Well hopefully she will like pulling weeds cause lord knows we have plenty to pull out.

More Summer Track

Ok here are more summer track pictures. Seans cousin Matt (who also took our wedding pics) was in town and his son Riley was at the meet so he was there taking RAD pictures of it all and he emailed them to us the other day. So I had to blog them.
My hottie Sean, he looks so good coaching it up.
Mamma and Mae, getting Mae ready to High Jump.
Check out that form. I think shes a natural.
Over she goes.
Maybe she got dizzy I can't tell.
I will say it was so cute when Sean and I were looking at the pics that Matt sent Mae was on Sean lap and she totally recognized herself and was cooing to her pics.

Pool Time

Mae got to finally got to the pool a couple of weeks ago also and she loved it. It was a bit overcast but still hot. We didn't stay very long but long enough that she was able to cool off a bit.
This is her first dip. You can see her hot little cheeks.
She wouldn't look at the camera. Sean was showing her how to splash and you know what she has totally figured it out, any body of water that she is in now she splashes like a maniac.
