CuzMac

We got to hang with Emmett a few weeks back and it was so much fun. He is getting really interactive, Mae of course loved that and I loved that I didn't feel like she was going to break him in half when they played.
Here is Mae teaching Emmett the fine art of pestering Gpa Mac.
I love her protective arm around him.
He says get off cuz.

Splish Splash

Every kid has to have this picture don't they?

Cd'a Half

What can I say this was a month ago and I really can not believe that I did as well as I did. I went for a run this morning and man was I tired. The half was awesome though, I finished in my goal time of breaking 1hr 50min by 1 minute, 1hr 49min. I was stoked for the last mile knowing that I was going to do it!
Running it in for the finish (which was much better then last years dumb finish). It was so hot I couldn't keep my "I am Jason Cash" shirt on :( sad but ok.
Mae and Sean did a great job supporting Katie and I. It was nice this year because Mae was actually awake to see me finish. She even cheers its so cute. After the race I asked her what mommy just did and she said "run fast, mommy run". Then she would say the same about Katie. I think the girl has it figured out.
Dynamic Duo after the race. I had a few other friends run also, you can see Jayne in the background. She also rocked it out, I think her time was like 1hr 44min, she is insane and amazing.
Tomato face! More like overheated and dehydrated from it being so blasted hot.

Tonight

So this is how bedtime went tonight.....

Maes diaper is off
Toot toot toot (Mae farting)
She looks up "poo?"

I say "do you have to poo? Want to go on the toilet?"

Mae " ok."

We head to the bathroom and stick her on the toilet for a few minutes.
And what do you know she pees.

Lots of cheering follows!

We are just in the very early stages of potty training buy she seems
very interested. So I think that once in the morning and once at night
we are going to stick her on the toilet and see how it goes.

Watching Narnia, Eating Spaghetti

Last Sunday "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" was on TV so Mae and I ate dinner on the floor. Of course I choose the messiest thing I could find, Spaghetti and Meatballs. She did a great job not being to messy.
She was really into the movie, she wouldn't even look at me when I was trying to take a picture.
Nope still didnt want to look.
She was cleaning up her mess when she was all done eating. Im trying to teach her young :)

A Year And A Half

Time has flown like crazy. We are in the middle of track season already and Mae is 1 1/2. She is growing like crazy, saying new words everyday. Today she even said pedicure (crazy I know). We have been going to lots of track meets and she loves them. She sits there and watches all the athletes, saying "run, go, fast" its super cute.
We had her 1 1/2 Dr. appt last Monday. She is still long and lean, 21.7 lbs (12%), 33 in (83%). Even though she is tall she still looks so tiny compared to all the other kids her age, its pretty cute though because she can hold her own. The Doc says she is doing great, and is really strong. I got a cream for her eczema and its finally going away, and she has mild hernia but that should get better over time. So all in all she is awesome and healthy.
Things she loves, dirt, shoes, her blankies (only in the last week has she had this crazy attachment to them), grapes, Strawberries, sweeping, balls, running on the track (we are teaching her starts its so cute), bike rides (she could go every day), dogs (heaven forbid), reading (when she reads out loud to herself its crazy cute), and being outside (when its nice out its all she wants to do.

2nd Seed

This is just a small note about Sean and I, its not all about Mae you know. But I'm just really excited that we are both going to be starting in the 2nd Seed section (the section right after the Elite runners) for Bloomsday this year. For those of you who don't know you have to qualify with a fast enough time to get in that section. Sean was already qualified from last years Bloomsday time, but I had to run a 5k (3.1 or so miles) this past Sunday in 22:30. I figured I might as well try. So I ran my little heart out and did it in 22:26, 7:13 per mile pace. I was so excited to have made my goal. Two of our friends also made 2nd Seed with us so we're gonna have a fun group starting out together. My next goal is to run Bloomsday in under and hour. Wish me luck, and Sean too, I don't know what his time goal is though.

Big girl

I took this picture last week on our way home from daycare. It was crazy because I had turned around to look at her and was blown away by how big she has gotten. Sometimes I feel like she grown from the time I drop her off to when I pick her up.

She also just got moved up to the 2 year old class today. They told me about it last week, and today was the first day. They said she did good, which made me feel better because she had been picking on the little kids in her room. I think its good for her to have the older kids put her in her place sometimes. She needs to know shes not the boss all the time.

Every day she is saying new words. I sware we tell her to say something and she repeats it. Yesterday I said "look a the purple flower." then she says "perel flawa" (Mae talk for purple flower). Just nuts I say.

Its been gorgeous outside the past few days and Mae had been diggin that. She just loves to be outside running all around the yard. She has even been helping me weed and pick up leaves, hopefully that help keeps up.

Madi and Mae @ The Park

A couple of weeks ago Mari and Madi came over to play and it was nice
enough that we were able to head to the park. The girls were so cute
playing together. I was so excited to get this picture of the two of
them walking and talking (well maybe).

Outside

It's actually sunny outside. So Mae and I are just spending the day
outside. She is having her little snack of grapes right now. Don't you
just love her hair. Sunscreen is the best for baby Mohawks!
