Drinking Salsa

Last night we went out to eat with our Tuesday Night Dinner Crew. It was a bittersweet dinner because the reason we went out is that Malia and Nick are moving to the west side for his job. Everyone had just been burnt out from packing and cleaning all week (Sean and I could only go on Sunday due to Mae throwing up), so we decided to eat out. We went out for Mexican and it was so good. I think we could eat Mexican the majority of the week and not get sick of it.

We're all just hanging out eating chips and salsa. I think we were on our second round so there was a few empty salsa bowls, when I looked over and Mae was drinking the salsa.

I love that Sherry is pointing at her. One of the funniest things about it is that Sean is always drinking sauces and the end of salsa. Like Father like Daughter.

It was a fun farewell dinner. They will be missed a lot. But Nina and Sherry have decided with Sean and I to keep Tuesday Night Dinner Club alive. Love you guys!

Sick Again

Poor Mae she is sick again with a little stomach flu. Its really so sad when the babys are throwing up. I'm just glad she had gained a pound back from being sick the last time otherwise she would have lost way to much weight. Hopefully she is feeling much better in the morning. I really hope so. The funniest part is that she pukes and rallies though. She will be throwing up and then bam shes done and smiling all over the place. So weird.

On the up side all my blankets are really clean from being washed so much today.

WORDS And Books

Within the past few weeks Maes vocab has gotten out of hand. Of course Sean and I are the only ones who can really understand all that she is saying its still really incredible. We had a list going but I've lost track of the ones in that past week. I'm just gonna share some of the words,

She has also been reading to herself a lot lately. She just sits down opens up a book and blabs away. When we were heading home from Bellingham a few weeks ago she even read to herself in the car for awhile.

Mae Was A Hot Mess!

Well hello all, its been about a month since my last post and I really haven't given you a good update on what Mae has been up to.

She started Daycare at the beginning of January and it has been awesome. Minus the welcome to Daycare sicknesses, but that's just what happens. I feel like she has gotten it all, the Flu, runny nose, Conjunctivitis (goopy eye), and I'm sure a few others. But she has battled through like a champ. I figure she is going to have a rocking immune system. She only goes 3 days a week which is great, cause then she is still home more then she is there. She really does like it though. In the morning I ask if she wants to go to school, and she goes to the closet where we keep her coat and then runs to the door. Its so so cute.

Mae also had some of the worst Diaper Rash ever this past month but we got it under

control finally. All because she pooped in her sleep, and now that she is sleeping though the night all the time now we had no idea. Apparently she also had a slight ear infection, well that's what the doc told me at her last appt. So she was really a hot hot mess.

We have gotten out of those awful times though and she is back to her happy self it is wonderful.

Hugging Emmett

Mae loves babies so much, so it was not a supprise when we saw Emmette
a few weeks ago she was all over him. All she wanted to do was hold
him and cover him with blankies, and Danelle was nice enough to let
her a few times. I will say it was so cute how much she loves him.

50 Things

1. Shoes I feel you can never have enough.

2. I truly have the most amazing friends.

3. I don't like to shower unless I have to. But I have been known to go a few days and not even think about it.

5. I LOVE hiking! I haven't been able to do it in awhile but I still LOVE it.

24. I eat chalk (very rarely, but if you have the right kind and ask me to prove it I would).

26. I tell it like it is. If you ask me if those pants make you look fat I will tell you. So if you don't want to know don't ask.

27. I believe in Natural Child Birth but I like it in the hospital, just in case.

31. I have a clutter free house. Even though Aria thinks my house is empty.

33. I have been wearing an anklet that I made in 10th grade for 12 years and have never taken it off. I'm just waiting for it to fall off one day.

34. I get new running shoes every 6 months. But Ive never had an injury.

35. I freeze my chocolate.

36. I want Mae to have a sister.

38. I want to have a Library and a walk-in closet one day.

39. I get a pedicure and a massage once a month, there my guilty pleasure.

40. My favorite jewelry is from my Gma Jean.

42. I had my Prelude (car) stolen when I was in Junior College.

43. I went to Junior College for Track and Field, and meet Sean there also. Double whammy!

44. Sometimes I stay up late just to be by myself.

45. I can't wait for my next maternity leave so I can have 3 months off again.

46. I want to run Bloomsday (7.49 miles) in under 60 mins.

47. I wish I could hip/hop dance.

48. I can eat a whole watermelon in a day when its really hot outside.

49. I may not go to church but I believe in God and Prayer.

50. Sunday is family day, I get mad if one of us has something else going on.

McNard Party...The Year Of The Jumpsuit

The McNard party was again a blast this year. It was held a few days early so everyone could make it. Ben and Megan even drove through a snowstorm to get there. As some of you know last year we started dressing up. This year was known as the year of the jumpsuit do to the fact that 6 of us were wearing them.

After a good dinner it turned into a dance party. Mae totally got into the action and really danced the night away. Every time I held her she just wanted back down to dance. So did Katie, the 2 of them just rocked it out all night.

Ben and Quinn kept switching outfits all night it was pretty funny. The outfits their in in this picture are not the ones they showed up in.

Mae finally passed out with Gpa Mac at the end of the night. You can tell she was just exhausted. I already cant wait until next year to see what everyone is wearing.

Christmas @ The Macs

We made it out to the Gparents house by 1o am so that Auntie Mary wouldn't be mad at us, still in our pj's (its tradition). Then we waited for the other siblings to get there. Mae decided to play in the newspaper holder, with the hair brush. I think she had been doing Gpa Macs hair.

Finally everyone arrived we ate the very delicious Breakfast (Sausage Fondue Casserole), then it was present time. Can you tell Mae was very excited and couldn't stay out of them.
I was not very good at taking pics on Christmas day but it was so much fun to just hang with everyone. We had Dinner at Nonnie and Pappas again and had a blast. It was a really great Christmas.

Christmas Morning At Our House

I love waking up Christmas morning and going from no gifts under the tree to whamo Santa came. I truly love it. Sean just puts up with it because he likes to put them under before. But I figure that since he doesn't shop until late, and doesn't have any gifts to put under himself then we can wait. Pretty much most of the gifts under there are for Mae. Sean and I just had our stocking to open up, but I love those so I'm ok with just stockings. She was super excited about the chocolate in her Stocking.

I got a sweet book. Already read it, it was good.

Sean got some socks, what what. He really needed new dress socks.

Mae got a new hoodie and pink sweats that match. They are way to big for her but they are super cute.

Now off to Gma and Gpa Macs house for the rest of Christmas Day.

Christmas Eve

Since we spend Thanksgiving with my family, Christmas is with Seans. On Christmas Eve we head out to Nonnie and Pappas house for dinner and a gift exchange. This year was kinda weird since we were missing a lot of family, but they were off in Florida visiting their family there. So even though it was a small affair it was still a ton of fun.

Sean and I had the important job of picking Gpa Mac up at the airport, luckily he was flying in between storms so he made it, late, but he still made it. Gma Mac couldn't have been happier when we arrived with her precious cargo.

For the Festivities I dressed Mae in her finest red and green. Both the dress and leggings have silver stars on them, I had to do it.

Mae and Paco oh wait I mean Emmett. He is her first cousin on the McLachlan side. He was born on the 19th of December so he was just 6 days old here. Hes so cute and little I cant even believe it. I'm super excited to get to see him and Mae play as they get older. I have a feeling she may be bossing him around a bit. But hopefully not to much. His dad is going to teach him ninja moves so I know he will be able to hold his own.
